Working together

How sessions connect teaching with daily life.

The focus

A specific skill to work on

We identify which social or emotional language skill needs attention and how it relates to everyday situations. That gives the teaching and practice a clear purpose.

Most weeks

45 minutes, usually once a week

Sessions combine structured teaching with time to process real experiences. We follow a curriculum that moves from recognizing to regulating, using engaging visuals and conversation to teach specific skills. Once a skill is learned, we use it to examine what happened, understand it clearly, and plan what he can try next time.

After each session

A note after every session

I send the parent, spouse, or client a detailed note with the focus, what we did, why it mattered, and tips for the week.

Every few sessions

Parent calls, when appropriate

Every few sessions, we compare what I see with what happens at home and plan how to support the same skills there.

Payment

Private payment

Sessions are private pay. Insurance is not accepted.

Location

In Toms River or by telehealth.

Telehealth speech language therapy is available when the client is in New Jersey or New York.
